As someone easily swayed by good design, killer branding and a relatable digital persona, I am not sold on the the bot-written slop that continues to infiltrate my internet. Serving AI Joe’s awkward copy straight from the can is nearly always obvious, whether or not it includes the trademark obsession with emoji triptychs and affection for the same boring words. Best case scenario: it comes off as lazy. Worst case scenario: it feels like talking down to a customer who just wanted to buy some stuff.

Marketing from most angles is storytelling, and nothing sells like the human experience. Consumers today long for something new to float with in the Sea of Sames, so why pretend a digital database built on what’s been done before could ever come up with something truly new?
There are many reasons to continue supporting human-led creativity in 2025 (!!), but it’s up to you to stay on board. I’d love to connect if you are:

☻ A small brand, business, brick-and-mortar shop or artist space here in Porto in need of English copy for your feed(s), newsletter, blog or website

☻ A European tattoo artist with an international following who dreams of having an English-fluent assistant to keep your social captions on-point, emails in order and DMs answered

☻ A mission-driven organization working across geographic borders on the lookout for a multifaceted writer to build the English base of copy destined for multilingual translations

☻ Any establishment slingin’ print media, drinks or vibes looking for a seasoned creative to add flavor to your social media and marketing campaigns

My editorial voice is organic, informed by a global perspective and highly adaptable, and it is best suited for brands in favor of smart copy, sharp wit, mindful language and using research to build vibrant, engaging campaigns. If you look at this page carefully, you’ll find the password required to view a few recent samples of copy written on behalf of clients here.
