Buhhh, I love menu design! This is a bold, heavily illustrated and retro-leaning menu design for a happy hour program launching at a popular local watering hole in Chicago's Wicker Park. "Colorful midcentury diner vibes" and "something about a graph paper notepad" were the original requests, and I accepted the challenge with GUSTO.
We went with a traditional printed menu, because (recycled) paper things are lovely ↓
and a mobile-friendly version, because duh! ↓
..and we decided on a few fun extras to keep things interesting. If you quietly wished your favorite bars 'n restaurants printed menus on a Risograph machine, me too. Let's make one. :)
